It’s playoff time, and both Lakeville North and Lakeville South are in the hunt for a section title! The Section 1AAAA Girls Quarterfinals tip off this week, with our hometown teams looking to make a deep postseason run.

🔥 Lakeville North takes on No. 8 seed Rochester Mayo in a high-stakes showdown. The Panthers are ready to bring the intensity and battle for a spot in the semis.

🏀 Coach John Oxton Hits 700 Wins! 🏀

Lakeville North’s legendary head coach John Oxton just secured his 700th career victory, becoming only the sixth boys' basketball coach in Minnesota state history to reach this milestone!

The historic win came in the Panthers' 74-56 victory over Farmington last month.

Oxton has been at the helm of Lakeville North Basketball since 1990, building one of the state’s premier programs.

Under his leadership, the Panthers have made eight straight state tournament appearances from 2012-2019, reaching the Class 4A championship game four times.

In 2014, Oxton led Lakeville North to its first-ever state title, with additional runner-up finishes in 2012, 2016, and 2019.

A true coaching icon, Oxton’s impact on Lakeville basketball and the state’s hoops history is undeniable. Congratulations, Coach! 🎉
